Line Up 2011

DEFINITELY MIGHTBE - Oasis may be no more but the people who have kindly bought a ticket and are coming along to Remembering Ben 2011 at Barnsley Trades Club could be forgiven for thinking they are witnessing a legendary reforming. For DEFINITELY MIGHTBE are the number one Oasis tribute band, and reproduce the rousing anthems, stage presence and atmosphere that the originals created. With over two hours of quality material to draw from, including all the hits such as Live Forever, Wonderwall, Don't Look Back In Anger and Champagne Supernova, Definitely Mightbe deliver in style. Lead singer Ian bears an uncanny resemblance to Liam and has worked as a lookalike in the UK, appearing on BBC1, Channel 4, Sky TV and ITV. Ian was also asked to star in a video for heavy metal legends MotorheadD for a recent single! And he doesn't just look like Liam, but Ian sings like Liam too! Paul Mitchell, meanwhile, takes up the reigns as Noel and does the riffs and lead breaks with such precision you'd think you were listening to the elder Gallagher with the volume turned up loud. Very loud! While the rhythm section of Kev Pyne on bass and Pete Coppard on drums keep everything locked together and completes the family. So, as good as the real thing? Well they.... HITOMI - Hailing from Barnsley but now spreading their wings, Hitomi subscribe to the melodic hard rock school. A tight-knit band that is fast attracting attention, there's a dangerous urgency to Hitomi's sound, mixing anthemic tunes, some dazzling guitar work and some top notch lyrics. They have already built up a loyal following and have clocked up many a tour mile in the back of the van! Hitomi are a band to bring the house down! Play it loud and proud - Hitomi Rocks! MYNAS - and finally we welcome back our good friends and the ever popular MYNAS. Formed in Barnsley in 2008, after what, in their own words, were 'several lengthy and embarrassing bouts of begging by Del (Del Scott Miller: Words and music, guitars, vocals) in an attempt to get Chris (Chris Scarfe: bass) and Steve (Steve 'Agga' Booth: drums) to play with him!' Their influences range from Half Man Half Biscuit, Ennio Morricone, Karate, Pixies, The Smiths/Morrissey, Jeff Buckley, A Perfect Circle, Radiohead, Pink Floyd, Elbow and Interpol. A band statement read: "We believe we have chuffing good songs." You chuffing do Del, you chuffing do! Mynas are simply terrific. WWW.MYNAS.CO.UK
